Welcome to Associate Professor Anne Powell, the new Director of the Central Clinical School's
Undergraduate Medical Education Directorate (UMED)! UMED oversights CCS's medical educational programs at four major sites (Cabrini, Peninsula, Epworth and Alfred) as well as a number of smaller ones. Anne is a practising rheumatologist and also
Director of Physician Training at Alfred Health.
In addition to a busy professional life, Anne is part of the
Australian team for a winter sport called 'curling'. The team will be competing at the
World Mixed Curling Championship in Berne in September.
Anne's days of work with UMED are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
A/Prof Rob Selzer who has retired as Director continues one day/week managing the
AXM project.
