Prof Thomson was Head of the Monash University's Central Clinical School 2001-2011. He will be giving a talk at next week's (30 Sept) Translational Research symposium, on how the Department at the Alfred was born and grew under the stewardship of its Foundation Professor, Barry Firkin.
