Congratulations to new AAHMS Fellows Profs Kit Fairley and Karin Jandeleit-Dahm

and Professor Karin Jandeleit-Dahm
Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (AAHMS) elects 37 of Australia’s leading health and medical researchers as Fellows.

Congratulations to two Central Clinical School research leaders, Professor Christopher Fairley and Professor Karin Jandeleit-Dahm who have been made AAHMS Fellows in this round of elections!


Professor Fairley is the Director of the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre within the Central Clinical School, and has a long and extensive track record of publications on the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, and the care and treatment of people suffering from those diseases. Professor Jandeleit-Dahm leads a research group in the Department of Diabetes, the Diabetes and Kidney Disease Laboratory, which aims to identify novel targets to prevent, treat and reverse diabetic complications. The laboratory addresses important clinical questions: how to prevent and treat the micro-and macrovascular complications of diabetes.
