The Central Clinical School (CCS) Student Journal Club series kicked off to a great start on Tuesday May 21st, with a large crowd attending. The theme was hepatology, and two honours students, Jacqueline Bredhauer and Terence Fong, presented engaging talks on Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease papers. They were mentored by Dr Natasha Janko, gastroenterologist, who also chaired the session.
Run by Perkin Chan and Sophie Lim, representatives of the MUMUS Medical Research Students' Society (MRSS), journal club sessions are run from 12:30pm - 1:30pm every 3rd Tuesday of each month at Tutorial Room 5, Level 5 Alfred Centre, with catered lunch.
The next session will be held Tuesday 18th of June on oncology. The two student presenters will be Isobel Leece and Jacqueline Rusnak, mentored by Dr Malaka Ameratunga, oncologist. If you would like to attend, please RSVP for catering purposes via this form.
