Congratulations on our recent PhD completions!

Congratulations to our four recent PhD graduates - Sung Kai Chiu, Jonathan Hiller, Gauri Mishra and Mitchell Moon - on their thesis completions! The degree was conferred 28 May 2020. A big job done and we wish them well for their futures! See detail of the students, their theses and supervisors below:

  • Dr Sung Kai Chiu, "The study of transcription factors SCL and LYL1 in normal and malignant haematopoiesis", supervised by Prof David Curtis and Dr Cedric Tremblay, Australian Centre for Blood Diseases.
  • Mr Jonathan Hiller, "An evaluation of perioperative therapies re-purposed for oncoanaesthesia to improve cancer outcomes", supervised by Prof Paul Myles (Department of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine), Prof Bernhard Riedel, A/Prof Erica Sloan.
  • Dr Gauri Mishra, "Evaluation of prognostic factors for survival in patients with Hepatocellular carcinoma treated with Transarterial Chemoembolisation", supervised by Adj Clin Prof Stuart Roberts (Department of Gastroenterology) and Adj A/Prof Anouk Dev.
  • Mr Mitchell Moon, "Developing unique antiplatelet drugs for improved heart attack and stroke prevention", supervised by A/Prof Justin Hamilton and Prof Harshal Nandurkar, Australian Centre for Blood Diseases.
