Farewell to Bonnie Dopheide from CCS

Bonnie Dopheide
After almost 10 years at Central Clinical School, Bonnie Dopheide will be leaving us at the end of May to take up a new position as Laboratory Safety & Compliance Manager at Biomedicine Discovery Institute on the Clayton campus.

Dr Michelle Zajac, Senior Research Manager, CCS, writes:

Bonnie started as an Administration Officer in 2012 but quickly moved into a Laboratory Operations role with the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases and Departments of Medicine and Surgery supporting laboratory operations and Occupational Health and Safety Compliance as part of CCS’s Research and Laboratory Operations Team.

In her time at CCS, Bonnie has overseen laboratory relocations and renovations as well as contributing to the fitout of the School’s new Department of Diabetes in 2017. She has contributed to the acquisition of core equipment such as the school’s autoclaves and sequencing platform. Bonnie has helped improve CCS’s OHS compliance and safety for the school through her leadership of our Liquid Nitrogen facility and through improvement of our high risk scheduled drugs procedures.

Bonnie is a much loved and valued member of our Research and Laboratory Operations team and we will miss her.

We wish Bonnie all the best for her new and exciting role, and are delighted that she is remaining in the  Monash University environment so that we continue to benefit, albeit less directly, from Bonnie's tremendous expertise, helpfulness and corporate knowledge.
