Congratulations to Dr Mastura Monif (see separate story), Dr Nenad Macesic, Associate Professor Andrew Stewardson and Associate Professor Stuart Marshall on their promotions! See detail below.

Dr Macesic is in the Department of Infectious Diseases. He is both a researcher and an infectious diseases physician. He was promoted to Senior Research Fellow (Level C). He recently received NHMRC funding to integrate genomic and artificial intelligence approaches for fighting antimicrobial resistance. Follow Nenad on Twitter @NenadMacesic.

A/Prof Stewardson is in the Department of Infectious Diseases. He is both a researcher and an infectious diseases physician. He was promoted to Associate Professor (Research), Level D. See more about his group's research in the department, and his current projects.

Both Dr Macesic and A/Prof Stewardson are CIs on the MRFF funded SuperbugAi Flagship project.

A/Prof Marshall is in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and is a practising anaesthetist. He was promoted to Associate Professor (Research), Level D.
