We are hoping that such a service will enable Honours students and others who may not previously have considered the use of microscopy, to take the opportunity to develop and enhance their project through imaging and analysis, and find additional support through our successful training in microscopy theory and image analysis courses.
A Basic Registration fee of $100 will entitle access to our Olympus BX J 1 microscope at an hourly use charge of only $5 ph.
The Olympus BX 51 is a non-motorised microscope, currently equipped with colour camera and fluorescent capabilities. It is a fine instrument and has demonstrated capacity to capture quality images and is a platform which will deliver valuable data and assist to develop new skills and knowledge.
Honours students requiring access to other modalities such as the confocal microscope or motorised microscopes would continue to register at the registration fee of $500.
