The Melbourne Sexual Health Centre is conducting a study to explore women’s online miscarriage related health seeking behaviours and their views on the design and content of a pregnancy related website.
We hope to gain a better understanding about what information, advice, support and resources would be most helpful to women experiencing miscarriage. *Please note the aim of this study is not to explore or ask women about their actual experiences of miscarriage*.

Ocular motor assessment as an extension of the neurological examination in multiple sclerosis

We are seeking healthy participants as control subjects only, aged between 35-65 years old.

Cognitive function is highly prevalent in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). However, routine clinical assessment rarely includes assessment of cognitive function. This clearly impacts the implementation of effective patient management strategies. To address this, we propose the inclusion of ocular motor (OM) measures of cognition in the clinical assessment of MS patients.

Participants sought: Men whose partners have experienced miscarriage

We are seeking male participants to conduct a study with male partners of women who have experienced miscarriage(s) to explore their experiences of miscarriage and their interactions with healthcare professionals and family and friends at this time. We hope to gain a better understanding about what miscarriage supports and resources would be most helpful to men affected by miscarriage.

Participants sought: Depression in menopausal women

We are seeking women to participate in a study on depression in menopausal women. The title of the study is "Double-Blind Randomised Investigation of Tibolone Alone or in Adjunct to Standard Antidepressant Treatment for Depression in Menopausal Women".
All women experience menopause, and a significant number of those women experience ongoing, severe depression during this time. Many women with this type of depression are treated with standard antidepressant medication. However, standard antidepressant medication has only shown small improvements. Hormone treatments which directly target the changes to reproductive hormone systems may be a better overall treatment of perimenopausal depression.
