Time: 9.00am - 6.00pm (Day 1) / 9.00am - 5.30pm (Day 2)
Location: Learning & Teaching Building, 19 Ancora Imparo Way, Monash University, Clayton campus.
We are excited to announce our plenary speakers are:
Due to space limitations we are accepting up to 60 poster presentations. We encourage everyone to submit a 250 word abstract to present a scientific poster at the symposium. You will be notified if your poster has been accepted.
Who should attend?
The symposium is sponsored by the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences. Attendance is complimentary and includes morning and afternoon tea, and lunch.
Due to venue capacities we require attendees to register in advance.
Plenary sessions (capacity 240) - we encourage everyone working in cardiovascular health research to attend.
Workshops (capacity 20 per workshop) - these will focus on big picture strategy in five specific challenge areas of cardiovascular health (see above). You may register for up to three worshops. We encourage, in particular, group leaders and senior scientists to register for the workshops on Day 2.

- Showcase existing cardiovascular health research within Monash University across Schools and Faculties
- Inform on new developments regarding the Victorian Heart Hospital, which aims to bring together clinical research with the wider multidisciplinary cardiovascular research community across Monash University; and
- Establish a Monash-wide virtual network of cardiovascular health researchers and clinicians.

- Dr James Hudson - QIMR Berghofer, QLD (Day 2)
- Living Well - including prevention, metabolic disease and rehabilitation
- Women's Heart - tackling the higher risk of death from CVD experienced by women through research, clinical care and education
- Personalised Medicine - develop, evaluate and implement uniquely targeted precision approaches tailored to an individual patient’s need
- Vulnerable Populations - including Aboriginal Health, mental health patients, migrants and patients of low socioeconomic background
- New Technologies - novel and innovative approaches for prevention, diagnosis and treatment (devices, drug discovery, diagnostics, digital health)
