These medals are among the highest academic honours that Monash University bestows, and mark the recipients as researchers of the higher order.
Shane's thesis is titled, "Mechanisms and therapeutics of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction". Shane was supervised by Professor David Kaye Baker/Department of Medicine) and Dr Melissa Byrne (Baker Institute). Shane is currently is a cardiology fellow at the Alfred Hospital and researcher at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute with a strong interest in cardiovascular physiology and haemodynamics.
