Discover cutting-edge imaging technology
Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) is a new non-invasive imaging technique with significantly increased sensitivity over MRI and remarkably faster acquisition times than PET.
The MPI capability at the Alfred Research Alliance - Monash Biomedical Imaging site is the world’s first MPI system with Computed Tomography (CT) and Hyperthermia capabilities. It provides unique capabilities that open the door to cutting-edge opportunities for interdisciplinary projects in medical research, chemistry and biotechnology.
Symposium
The symposium will involve:
- the MPI system supplier, Magnetic Insight, discussing the world-first technology and its potential; and
- presentations from key researchers outlining MPI applications and the benefits of utilising the technology.
