Thank you to Alex Dimitropoulos for GEDI work!

Ms Alex Dimitropoulos
Ms Alex Dimitropoulos is a PhD student in the Department of Diabetes, and has been the student representative on the Gender, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (GEDI) committee of the Central Clinical School. The GEDI chair, Dr Jessica Borger, writes:

"I wanted to acknowledge what an outstanding job Alex performed in her role within the committee. I was also very impressed by her confidence to participate actively in all of our meetings, and present and discuss the issues of students at the CCS so eloquently.

"Alex's passion for D&I has shone through and I am especially thankful for all the work she has put through in the last few years, always finding the time to help out when asked (and often at last minute). Her infographics and the acknowledgement to country slides will be an ongoing representation of her work with the GEDI committee.

"Thanks so much Alex and good luck with the final thesis write up and the next chapter as a doctor!"

Professor Terry O'Brien also acknowledged Alex's contributions:

"Thank you so much for the fantastic important work you have done for our GEDI committee. The School is very grateful for your dedication, passion and energy to advance the important cause of improving Diversity and Inclusion. All the best for the next stage of your academic journey."
