Photo of the week: Monash Microimaging Image of the Year 2016 competition

Monash Microimaging (MMI) are holding an Image of the Year competition. There are prizes and glory to be had!
The winning images will be published in the MMI 2017 calendar and/or the MMI office window.
Prizes are:
  • 1st prize $300
  • 2nd prize $150
  • 3rd prize $50
The best 3D image Prize will be a 3D printed model of the image.

Competition rules

  • Images must have been taken on a MMI microscope
  • Submit images in a .tif format
  • Image resolution should be as high as possible
  • Images will be judged on their aesthetic quality, not scientific content
  • Images will be published on the MMI website , posters and other advertising material so don’t submit any unpublished data
  • The 13 best images will be used in the 2016 MMI calendar
  • Maximum of 3 visually distinct entries per person.
  • For the office window a large tiled image is required
