Huge thanks to Sharmila Ramesh (CCS Graduate Research Student Services Coordinator) and Georgia Fuller Symons (CCS Honours Student Services Officer and Department of Neuroscience PhD candidate) for running such a fabulous event.  Also thank-you to all of the contributors.  The event ran very smoothly.  

There were 220 attendees who were very active, asking 130 questions via the chat function, and very actively engaging in the break-out groups.  Neuroscience, Immunology, Australian Centre for Blood Diseases and Burnet Institute breakout groups were well attended with between 5-25 participants in each.

The Alfred Research Alliance Monash Translational Medicine and Public Health schools together with the Baker and Burnet Institutes held our annual information night on 11 August. It was the first that we have done using Zoom, and it went well, thanks to the efforts of the organising team and all the presenters!

AMREP Honours and Post Graduate Student Information Evening - Thursday August 2, 2018

The AMREP prospective student information night is a great way
for students and staff to chat about potential research projects

On Thursday 2 August 2018, Central Clinical School and the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine will hold an information night for prospective honours and post graduate students. The night will showcase research being performed across the two schools at the Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct (AMREP).

Supervisors and students at AMREP are encouraged to attend as a chance to meet with potential students and discuss research opportunities for 2019.

180 students attended the 16 August 2016 AMREP information night to find out more about the precinct offerings from Central Clinical School, School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, BakerIDI Institute and Burnet Institute. The students came from diverse undergraduate streams including human pathology, immunology, biomedical science, biotechnology and health sciences. It was a lively and enjoyable event with plenty of pizza!
