Fellowship) and five project grants were awarded with an income total of
approximately $5.1M. See detail below. The national success rate

MUSIG holds clinical workshop at The Alfred
The event provided attendees with the opportunity to learn practical skills from some great surgeons.
The workshop featured stations which taught gloving and gowning, suturing, hand-tying, chest drains and cricothyroidotomy.
2014 Victorian Public Health Awards: 10th celebration
The 2014 Victorian Public Health Awards recognised Victorian healthcare providers in a wide variety of categories for their outstanding work caring for diverse patient groups. Alfred Health was a winner in the "Excellence in quality healthcare" and the "Secretary's Award for improving patient outcomes and patient experience" categories, and highly commended in the Metropolitan health service of the year. Monash Health either won or was commended in several categories. Congratulations to all healthcare providers - ultimately, their patients are the winners.

30 Oct: Australian Academy of Science Early- and Mid-Career Researcher Forum
The Australian Academy of Science Early- and Mid-Career Researcher Forum (#EMCR Forum) serves as the voice of Australia's future scientific leaders, representing over 3,200 EMCRs at present.
We are seeking to broaden our engagement, and have organised a series of networking events around the country with special guest speakers where we will provide an overview of the EMCR Forum's activities and ways to get involved.
