The 2021 Central Clinical School Graduate Research (GR) Student Symposium is being held at 11am-5pm on Monday, 26 November 2021 at the Alfred Centre (Level 5 Lecture Theatre and Seminar Rooms). We may pivot to Zoom hybrid depending on COVID conditions.
It is CCS's 14th annual GR symposium in a series which has grown in variety, interest and involvement, now becoming a high point in the school's calendar of events. This year, we are offering:
- A keynote presentation from Dr Andreia Silva (AstraZeneca UK) titled “Transitioning from academia to industry: a practical guide”
- Over thirty student presentations including orals, 3-minute Science Bytes and poster displays
- A networking session that will encourage discussion on range of important themes including:
- the impact of career breaks in academia
- time management
- putting together a compelling presentation - The Great Debate: staff vs students. Three topics, five minutes to debate. Who will win?
