Congratulations to Professor Patrick Kwan on his appointment as MIME Clinical Co-Director

Congratulations to Professor Patrick Kwan on his appointment to the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering (MIME) as the incoming Clinical Co-Director.

Professor Kwan will commence in this leadership role on 14 March, 2022.

Professor Terry O'Brien, Head of Central Clinical School, and Professor Helmut Butzkueven, Head of the Department of Neuroscience in CCS, write:

We have no doubt that with Patrick’s vision, multidisciplinary translational research track record and experience of collaborating with industry and engineers, that he will lead MIME forward into an exciting new era."

The Monash Institute of Medical Engineering (MIME) fosters and coordinates translational MedTech research at the intersection of Medicine, Engineering, Information Technology and Art and Design across Monash University faculties, partner hospitals and collaborating medical research institutions.

MIME works in close partnership with industry and hospitals, via Monash Partners Academic Health Science Centre, to accelerate the development of new technologies through development, trials, commercialisation and adoption; to improve the delivery of healthcare.
