October is National Mental Health Month: Week 1

Welcome to October!

October is National Mental Health Month, an initiative of the Mental Health Foundation Australia, to advocate for and raise awareness of mental health. This year’s National Mental Health Awareness Campaign theme is: ‘Building Resilience: Communities and Connections’

Throughout October, the CCS GEDI committee will be sharing resources weekly to encourage all staff and students to reflect on their own mental health, as well as the mental health of their family, friends and colleagues throughout the CCS.

On Saturday 1 October, Mental Health Foundation Australia will officially launch Mental Health Awareness Month in Victoria. Here is a link if you would like to register to attend this event virtually:

SWAP WEBINAR 

This webinar aims to build knowledge on how you can prioritise your mental health by implementing some simple and practical dietary tips.😋

Sunday October 16th  

MENTAL HEALTH WALK 

Join the walk around Albert Park Lake to raise awareness and advocate for mental health.

Time: 10.30-12.30 AEDT

GEDI committee can be approached or emailed (ccs.gedi@monash.edu) with any suggestions for how the school can continue to support the mental health of staff and students and the broader community.
