Gavin Horrigan ("Straight Shooter") enjoyed amazing success at the recent Ararat Clay Target Club Christmas shoot as can be seen from the attached photo. He won three prizes:

• Club Champion (shooter breaking most targets for the year out of the total number thrown) – yellow sash and wooden trophy
• Off The Fence Champion (a competition where people shoot 25m behind the trap house on the back of the layout rather than shooting 15m behind the trap which is the normal mark – this was a shoot off between all of the shooters who had won an Off The Fence event in 2017) – purple sash
• Champion of Champions (a shoot-off between anyone who had been Overall Winner of a competition in 2017) – tartan sash

Gavin Horrigan is Central Clinical School's Manager in addition to being a talented shooter.

When it comes to shooting, Gavin Horrigan doesn't subscribe to 'near enough is good enough' , or 'hit and miss' for that matter.

Gavin competed very successfully at the Ararat Clay Target Club’s most recent shoot on Saturday 7 October.

AMREP Precinct Manager Gavin Horrigan had a huge day shooting at Ararat on Saturday 3 June. He didn’t miss a single target in three events totalling seventy (70) targets!

Gavin Horrigan wins Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional Performance by Professional Staff 2013

Mr Gavin Horrigan has been awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional Performance by Professional Staff 2013, one of eight individual nominations to receive the award. Gavin is the Precinct Manager for the two large Monash schools at the Alfred campus, Central Clinical School and the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. These schools represent around one fifth of the faculty and host approximately 2,000 staff, adjuncts and postgraduate students.
