His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) has accepted the role of Patron of Monash Alfred Psychiatry research centre. This is a great honour and we are fortunate to have His Excellency as our Patron. He takes on the mantle of Patron from the previous Governor-general, Ms Quentin Bryce, who launched MAPrc at its new premises in October 2013. For reference, MAPrc began in 1994, so this year is its 20th anniversary. See launch video.
