Master of Medicine First Graduates!

After the launch of the Master of Medicine (Perioperative Medicine) in 2013 we are pleased to congratulate our first group of graduates in December 2014. Three students graduated with one, Dr Mathonsi Jila, attending the graduation ceremony at the Robert Blackwood Hall on the Clayton Campus on 15 December 2014 (pictured). The course has attracted over 188 students since its commencement with interest growing daily. Congratulations to all our students past and present! Perioperative medicine Masters program and short courses in high demand

2014 is the second year of running the Master of Medicine (Perioperative Medicine) program through the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at the Alfred and Monash University, and Units are in high demand with 3 out of 4 of the core units already full for 2014. It has been very successful with positive feedback received from the first year intake of students. Admissions are currently open. The Perioperative Medicine short course is now in its fifth year, with intake numbers increasing. It has a substantial waitlist. Master of Medicine in perioperative medicine in high demand


28_292010_PaulMylesThe Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine has launched a Master in Medicine in particular for the area of perioperative medicine. The course description says, 'Surgical patients are getting older and sicker.' Which makes their care more complex, hence the demand for this course.
