Monash academic in push for better global MS care

A Monash University academic neurologist has joined forces with other global experts in multiple sclerosis (MS) research and treatment to create – for the first time – a consensus for measurable standards of MS care.

Highly Commended category

Over the past 100 years, it has been commonly understood that gonorrhoea is mainly passed on by condom-less sexual intercourse.

Dr Eric Chow from Monash University's Central Clinical School and Alfred Health's Melbourne Sexual Health Centre has completely changed the direction of this theory through his findings that the throat is the main driver for transmission, and been recognised for his achievement by Research Australia.

Congratulations to our recipients of Round 2 of 2018 Central Clinical School (CCS) Travel Grants! These grants provide support for research staff to present their research at both domestic and international conferences. Support is also provided to visit research organisations to undertake activities such as specialised training, dissemination of results with collaborators and establishing new research collaboration.
