Friday 16 October is National Anaesthesia Day. 2020 has seen unusual stresses and challenges, and the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists Clinical Trials Network (ANZCA CTN) is sharing how they have been met to honour the achievements of all the groups involved. Central Clinical School has recently become home to the ANZCA CTN, and we extend a warm welcome to the CCS team.
Ms Allison Kearney is the spokesperson in the featured video. She is the Research Manager at the Anaesthetics Department at Princess Alexandra Hospital in QLD and Monash University Affiliate. Allison is also the chair of Anaesthesia Research Coordinators Network, a network made up of more than 160 research coordinators facilitating anaesthesia research and clinical trials as part of the ANZCA Clinical Trials Network. Allison discusses the challenges the network has faced during the pandemic, how the network has adapted and changed the way it goes about running clinical trials and core activities, such as virtual workshops, and the celebration of many milestones along the way.
